Our newest recruit to the customer service team answers some very important questions about what it’s like to be Robyn and how she is finding life as a customer service magician at RJB Stone HQ.
What’s the best thing about your job?
Probably the people I work with. From every department you get the impression that everyone is having a good time and working together. I feel lucky to work in a company that people are excited by. There is a real sense that we are still just at the beginning of the RJB journey. I’m definitely privileged to be a part of that.
What’s a day in the life of Robyn like?
Every day is different, which is a key factor in why I like my job so much. All of the team in customer service have individual responsibilities alongside the general task of reply to enquiries on the phone and over email. Some of those jobs include managing the dispatch of orders, liaising with the warehouse and some of the general office management tasks like buying stationary and helping organise office events.
During the summer months we are a lot quieter so there is the opportunity to assist with tasks in other departments, such as helping on a photo shoot, or assisting with getting visas for the buying trips. There is so much going on!
What is your favourite Sass & Belle product and why?
I really like the chalkboards and me and my housemates love leaving each other little messages like ‘its Friday!’ or ‘good morning campers!’
If you were an object in the kitchen, what would you be?
If I were an object in the kitchen I would be a fridge because in the winter I’m cold and full of delicious food and in the summer I like to keep cool and full of beer: D
What was the first album you bought?
I can’t remember the first album I brought but the first cassette in think was obviously Spice Girls and then I would tape the top 40 on a Sunday trying to get it perfect so I didn’t record adverts!
What’s your favourite film?
I really like anything with Will Farrell as he is so funny so Anchorman, Stepbrothers and Talladega Nights are defiantly in the collection.
Can you tell us something about yourself that nobody knows?
When I was 11 years old, I dragged my Dad down to London so that I could audition for the pop group S Club 7. Luckily for all the ears of the world I didn’t make the band.
